Large scale planting accelerates China's coffee industrialization

Coffee has been cultivated in China for hundreds of years, mainly in Yunnan, Hainan, Guangdong, Guangxi and other places. Among them, Yunnan coffee is the most famous, and it is also the most eye-catching in scale expansion and industrialization development. Relevant data show that the four major coffee producing areas of Dehong, Baoshan, Pu'er and Lincang in Yunnan have a total planting area of 1.77 million mu and a total output of 139000 tons, accounting for more than 99% of the country. From 2008 to 2015, Yunnan's coffee production has increased fivefold in less than eight years.

The increase in planting comes from huge consumer demand, which is also a clear evidence of the transformation and upgrading of the coffee industry. Although China's coffee planting history is not short, the origin of the coffee industry was 20 years ago. Hainan Province established China's first instant coffee production line. In these 20 years, the coffee industry has developed rapidly, showing a strong market potential with a blowout trend. Great changes have taken place in production scale, product quality and technological innovation, and gradually evolved to "become stronger, bigger and brand".
